Merriwa Festival of the Fleeces

An event celebrating the history of wool industry in and around the local Merriwa township. The event highlight is the famous “running of the sheep” in their red socks at the front of the Grand Parade. Spanning 3 days, this event is Merriwa’s largest and longest running festival.
