‘The Passionate Pilgrim’ by Elyssian Fields

51 Dowling St Dungog, NSW, 2420, Australia [View Map]

Continuous Music presents Elysian Fields ‘The Passionate Pilgrim’ — Music inspired by the poetry of William Shakespeare and Sir Thomas Wyatt.

Elysian Fields are a Jazz – Baroque collective and perform a fresh take on the music of William Shakespeare. Featuring new songs – and reinventions of older music – The Passionate Pilgrim is an exquisite odyssey in song and spoken word.

Elysian Fields developed the Passionate Pilgrim with legendary actor and director John Bell (Bell Shakespeare Theatre). It was premiered with Bell earlier this year at the Blackheath Chamber Music Festival. A true collaboration, John Bell chose the Shakespearean texts while Elysian Fields’ Jenny Erikson wrote and selected the music .

This is a rare opportunity to see this extraordinary work performed in Dungog at the Anglican Church Hall.
