Join in for a unique paranormal experience at Tocal Homestead with Newcastle Ghost Tours. The homestead is a heritage-listed site surrounded by colonial farm buildings dating back to the 1830s.

During this tour, you will explore one of the buildings associated with the infamous Captain Thunderbolt. The history and spirits of past residents fill every corner, inviting you to use the latest paranormal technology to connect with them. Fred Ward, who worked at Tocal as a horse breaker, began his dark history here which ended with his death at the hands of the police.

Discover the gruesome killings that took place at Tocal in the 1800s including a drunken fight between convicts in 1837 and the mysterious death of a headless stockman in 1874.
