Dungog, NSW — 7 August 2025 — 10am – 1.30pm dungog library
Event organisers, community organisations, artists, agri-tourism groups, small businesses, accommodation providers, and tourism operators are invited to a free, practical workshop at Dungog Library focused on growing their profile and reach through the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
“Share your story, grow your audience: ATDW & Beyond” will take place at 10am — 1.30pm on Thursday, 7 August 2025, and is presented by Arts Upper Hunter and Dungog Shire Council.
The 3.5-hour session will guide participants through the process of creating a compelling ATDW listing, using effective storytelling, visuals, and strategic promotion. The workshop will also explore ways to develop visitor-friendly experiences that reflect the richness of regional life—from farm tours and markets to open studios and cultural events—and help local operators put their place on the map.
This hands-on workshop is ideal for local creatives, event organisers, community groups, accommodation providers, and tourism operators wanting to:
- Build or enhance their ATDW profile
- Promote events and experiences to a wider audience
- Explore how to turn their existing work into attractive visitor offerings
- Strengthen their presence in the local tourism economy
“Many tourism operators have heard of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse but aren’t aware of its extensive reach or how to use it effectively,” said workshop organiser Suzannah Jones from Arts Upper Hunter. “ATDW connects to hundreds of tourism websites and booking platforms across Australia. In this workshop, we’re hoping to unlock that potential for local operators and help them tap into a much broader audience.”
Places are free but limited. Register now to secure your spot.
